How often are you weeding your thought garden?
We all know the importance of positive thinking, and mindset. Even the Bible talks about bringing your thoughts into captivity.
(2 Cor 10:5)
So why is it necessary to catch those negative thoughts as soon as they enter your mind?
If you aren’t continuously weeding your thought garden, those weeds will grow and take over. We have to constantly be aware of what we are putting into our minds, while plowing under, and digging out, those destructive thoughts that can cause us harm.
I’ll use three popular phrases that I believe are true….
“What you think about, your bring about.”
“As a man thinketh in his heart so is he.”
“Garbage in. Garbage out.”
In business, mindset can make the difference between success and failure.
Putting up walls is not always good, but in this case it’s needed. Wall out those things that cause you doubt or fear. Plow under those comments that are taken the wrong way. Try to cultivate a an attitude of giving others the benefit of the doubt. Find positive quotes, sayings, and passages that will lift you up. Read books on thought concepts, mindset and positive thinking. Keep an open mind on what others are trying to convey, but if it’s not positive…. weed it out.
Keep company with like-minded people. If you must be in the company of someone who’s negative, try to show them the positive side of things, and limit your time with them.
This is a major area that all of us need to focus on.
So when the weeds start growing in your mind, get in there and start weeding your thought garden!
