by BG Jenkins
Several Years ago I read several of Norman Vincente Peale’s series of books and one of them was entitled, “Enthusiasm Makes the Difference.”
In the book, Dr. Peale encouraged we readers to become enthusiastic about everything, and see for yourself how enthuisasm makes the difference for anything that you want to do in life, and how it has a big impact on your results.
We often hear “enthusiasm sells. Enthusiasm is contagious. Act enthusiastically.”
Years ago when doing prospect training, our trainers would tell us, “Be enthusiastic. Put a smile on your face when doing phone prospecting, because the prospect can hear it in your voice. Be enthusiastic about your product…and if you’re not enthusiastic, get enthusiastic, and find all the benefits of your product (or service), and focus on those features you love.
So why does enthusiasm make the difference?
People love to be around enthusiastic people. They are fun, they are lively, they bring up your spirits, and put a smile on your face. The question is, who doesn’t want to be around an enthusiastic person? It’s true…enthusiasm is contagious and it sells!
Even well renowned author, Napoleon Hill, of the book, “Think and Grow Rich,” uses enthusiasm as one of his top 10 strategies.
“Enthusiasm is the power that turns knowledge into action and moves you towards your definite purpose.” - Napoleon Hill
Here is a quote from Norman Vincente Peale:
“If you have zest and enthusiasm you attract zest and enthusiasm. Life does give back in kind.” – Norman Vincente Peale
So…go ahead and serve up a cup of enthusiasm in your business day…
