Network Marketing: Digging in When Storm Winds Blow
Some days, when those strong winds of adversity are blowing in our network marketing businesses, we just want to bury our heads under the covers and stay in bed all day. Instead, we need to plant ourselves firmly, and bend with the wind.
You know Murphy’s Law…”If anything can go wrong, it will.”
When we have days filled with endless mishaps, and irritations, we need to make sure that we’re in a positive, and productive frame of mind. By reframing our view of Murphy’s Law, and considering those irritations as opportunities to learn and grow, we may be able to dig in, and bend with the wind.
When strong winds of adversity blow
Let the small and insignificant things go…there may be many of them. By doing so, you are able to focus on those things in your business that really are worthy of concentrating on.
Don’t Over Schedule
Plan your schedule ahead of time, and leave room in it for the unexpected. If our schedule is always jammed packed, then we do not have much room for re-assessing the important things, or revamping things that need to be tweaked.
Have a Plan of Action
Have an emergency plan in place for those days when things go topsy-turvy. You will have those days, and it’s best to have a plan of action in place. It’s better to be prepared, than to be caught unaware.
Work With Those Who Believe in You
There’s nothing better to help the creative flow, or to solve problems, than to work with someone who believes in you. When strong winds of adversity blow, you need someone that is on your side, and who has you best interest at heart. This is the best synergy you can have for your business.
Believe in Yourself
Always believe that no matter what happens you’ll be able to handle it with the help of colleagues, friends and family. You can do this by filling your life with positives…
- positive actions
- positive plans
- positive thoughts
- postive words
- and align yourself with positive people to mastermind with
Get Enough Rest, Nutrition, and Exercise
In order to function well in a business, we have to be able to think clearly. To perform you tasks well, get enough rest, exercise, and the proper nutrition. This will help you deal with anything that may arise.
Accept Things You Can’t Change
Sometimes, like the forces of nature, there are things we can’t change, so we have to learn to accept them, and move on. Deal with the situation the best way you can and move on.
The Strong Winds of Adversity are going to blow at some point…so dig in and bend.

I see some Truths of Scripture….Jesus is the root, and we are the branches. We can bend in the winds of adversity, because our Root is sure, firm and strong!

Hi Cathy, I totally agree! If we are planted in the root, when adversity comes then because of Him we can remain strong.
Hi BG,
I really like the point where you are emphasizing that we should work with people who believe in us! Decision to be self-employed is a difficult one, and that is why you do not want to spend time convincing or trying to convince others to believe in you. Great article!
