Passion’s Pearls surround us everywhere in Network Marketing, and in life.
So, if you’re living out the dreams of your passion’s pearls, are you also living with integrity?
It feels so good to live your passion, especially when the sweet gems that come from it are cascading forth…but as you’re living your passion’s pearls …
-
Are you being ethical in your business practices?
-
Are you supporting your colleagues, and giving them a hand up?
-
Are you encouraging them, and giving them sound advice?
Sometimes, we don’t mean to, but we may make a flippant (but unintentional) remark to a colleague when they’re having a bad day. (I’m not saying walk on eggshells.)
Sometimes, when we’re excited to really get our businesses moving forward we may prospect someone else’s prospect. (Again, it could be unintentional.)
Sometimes, we may not take time to train our team. (Some leaders caution us about “too much hand holding,” but some is needed.)
There are so many “sometimes” that I could bring up because when our passion’s pearls start flowing, we are excited, and can become short-sighted.
We’re all human. We all make mistakes, but don’t push the line on ethics. Let’s get focused on living with integrity. The downside is that if you aren’t living with integrity, that in itself can come back on you in the form of lost revenue, lost friendships, and lost promotions with those industry greats that could give you that longed for “hand up.” You know what the Good Book says, “You reap what you sow.”
Here’s a verse from the Bible that I love that inspired this post…
“You are the most excellent of men and your lips have been anointed with grace, since God has blessed you forever.” Psalm 45:2
This verse speaks to me because there are power in words (and actions). It also inspired this poem to help personally remind me of the integrity I want in my life.
Passion’s Pearls
Bless, and anoint my lips with grace;
May your eyes of love shine on my face.
Please, bind my heart with love and prayer.
May I choose my words with tender care.
May wisdom reign when trouble’s near;
May I rise above defeat and fear.
May steadfast be my mission’s quest.
May my passion’s pearls withstand the test,
And when my path is nearing end,
Please, surround me, Lord with love and friends.

OMG BJ,
What a beautiful post. The pearls drew me in. I love the fact you talked about integrity. Like Mike Dillard and many other marketers say people join people not businesses. That’s what is going to help build a strong business.
