Momentum

Is Lance Armstrong not the king of momentum! In everything he does, he keeps moving forward. In business, mometum is also a necessary strategy, whether it’s an internet business, or brick and mortor. We just have to keep moving and creating to reach our goals.

We all want our dreams to come true in business, and in our personal lives. Keep moving toward them. Never stop. Eventually the momentum will catch up with you and you’ll keep gaining speed until you’ve reached your goals and surpassed them.

Just like a snowball rolling from the top of a hill, it gains speed and picks up more snow as it rolls along and before you know it, you have enough for a snowman.

Apply these strategies to build momentum in your business:

Learn all you can.

Even if it’s not necessarily related to your field, you may be able to find a way to implement something you’ve learned outside your field into an idea for your business. Learning is never wasted…Ever!

Brainstorm with others to gain insight.

Iron sharpens iron and you never know when one word that comes from someone else may set off a light bulb in your head for your next brilliant plan. Fire catches fire, so brainstorm and start some sparks!

Analyze your strategies and be objective.

Sometimes we all think our own ideas are wonderful because we thought of them. Be objective. Look at your plan with a crtical eye and ask yourself if it will really work. If you implement a plan and it doesn’t work, move on to the next. Moss doesn’t grow under a rolling stone!

Persevere.

Sometimes things get hard and you think you’re on the wrong path and just want to chuck it all. If it’s in your heart and head and been there for a long time, persevere. You know what you have dreamed about all of your life. Isn’t it worth it to give it your all? You do need momentum, but you also need staying power. Don’t give up. If you can’t reach your dream down one road, take a detour and find another way to get there!

Exercise, pray, meditate, create.

You need to be that well rounded person to keep the momentum flowing. Good health is a vital part of momentum and staying power. It’s really true that if you do all of these things you will feel better about yourself and have a more positive attitude on cloudy days. Not only that, these things make you more interesting and gives you an opportunity to share your creations or ideas. We all want to connect with others!

Be Yourself.

Most people can spot a phony a mile away. Why bother. You are the person that God created, so let your uniqueness shine. We all have gifts to offer; believe in them!

Rest.

Make sure you get your rest. We all need at least 8 hours of sleep a night. Make sure you get it. This is when your body heals and rejuvenates. You may get by with less sleep for a while, but eventually it will catch up with you, and it makes you old fast. You don’t want to burn out!

Now get out there and get moving and let the momentum propel you to your dreams!
