I just got off an awesome webinar: Mia Davies’ New Social Media.
The funny thing is that I heard her speak a week or so ago on another call, and at that time she was telling us the same thing, and tonight, more:
“Stop Selling and Start Connecting.”
I actually put this in to practice today on a call with a prospect. I asked him, a few questions, and sent him to a website to view a business opportunity. I again asked him to watch the webinar, and if he had any questions to call me right after.
The gentleman asked me, “Have you ever done sales?”
I said, “Yes.”
“Well, you’re not selling me very hard.”
I stated, “Our team is about relationship building… we leave the selling for the CEO. We are about building team dynamics through relationships.”
The gentleman said, “Ok.”
Clearly… I didn’t bring my best game.
But, I had my proof, again, tonight from Mia Davies’ New Social Media on how the new marketing is to be done from Mia’s own words:

On the webinar, Mia referenced different articles from Harvard Business Review, and Forbes. These articles stated that traditional marketing is dead. She discussed how many multi-million dollar businesses have had to start marketing differently in this new social media era.

With many slides, and examples, of how this new social media works, we have a lot to fill our plates with, but the first step is to take action (another one of her major points).
