Lessons From 3 Year Olds

Parallels in Life and Business
Parallels in Life and Business

You may be wondering what I’m talking about when I tell you about the lessons from 3 year olds that can be used in your life and business.

Let me show you the parallels I found while watching 3 years olds at my granddaughter’s birthday party yesterday.

Lesson 1:

Live with Passion!

Have you ever noticed how passionate a 3-year-old is about everything?

Make sure you implement that passion for what you do into your life and business.  It will make for a much more interesting journey.  Take that thing that you’re crazy about, and have to be doing, and go for it.

Lesson 2:

Go for it!

Have you ever tried to stop a 3-year-old from going for it?

There’s quite a bit of determination there when a 3-year-old sees something they want, or want to do.  It’s like trying to stop lightning from striking a tree. This is that never give up principle…and they never do.

Lesson 3:

Have fun!

What 3-year-old doesn’t know how to have fun?

If what you’re doing isn’t fun and enjoyable, then why are you doing it? Take the elements of fun and spread it around in all that you do.  This will make you want to get up in the morning and becomes the fuel to get your through your day.

Lesson 4:

Sometimes things get messy!

What 3-year-old hasn’t had a smattering of  jam and peanut butter on their face?

At times things will get messy, and mistakes will be made.  Clean them up and move on.

Lesson 5:

When You Fall Down, Get Back Up!

Have you ever kept a 3-year-old down?

Not on your life!  If they do fall down, they aren’t down for long!  Have that same type of mentality.  Sometimes things happen and you do fall down.  Get back up and run with abandon!

Take these lessons from 3 years olds and begin to build your business today!
