“As iron sharpens iron so one person sharpens another.”
Well, maybe you can, but can you do it well all by yourself?
We all need each other. We need to bounce ideas off of each other, get different perspectives, and lean on others for support. Since I don’t know everything, I can’t say for sure that you couldn’t possibly do everything all by yourself, but for the most part we all need other people in some form or another. How would most of us haven gotten here without our parents’ help?
When it comes to Network Marketing, we need to associate with people smarter than we are, wiser than we are, who have been where we have been, and who have surpassed our wildest dreams. This is called a mentor. This person could (should) cut down your learning curve substantially. It’s not about learning it all, it’s about learning it well.
- What do you need to know?
- Where do you need to be?
- Where do you want to be?
- How do you plan to get there?
- Put it on paper.
Consider mind mapping (a diagram used to represent words, ideas, tasks, or other items linked to and arranged around a central key word or idea), or perhaps join a mastermind group (an alliance of two or more individuals dedicating themselves to a specific goal). This can get the creative juices flowing of all involved.
It also gets you talking with others who may think completely differently than you do and who have a few ideas that can help you see your horizon.
- See where they are coming from
- Analyze what they say
- Add it to what you’ve learned
- Discover the differences
- Look at the similarities
- Draw your conclusion.
- Most of all listen.
You may be a great speaker, but you can’t learn if you’re always talking.
Afterwards, chime in with your ideas, and the sum of the parts may equal a whole lot of great things~
