Getting Focused

Getting Focused

How much time do we spend on a daily basis getting focused?  At the crack of dawn do we haphazardly race around trying to get our day planned, and our things in order? Or are things scheduled and organized, and we’re ready to face all the hopes and promises that a new day may bring?

Unfortunately for many of us…it’s the former.  With life racing at a catastrophic speed, many of us find it hard to get out of the race for a moment to catch our breath to determine what is really important. Don’t feel too bad though, with constant demands on your time, it’s easy to get distracted.

For getting focused we have to learn to prepare and prioritize.

Preparing and prioritizing is key to your success. You may have to get off the track, or pause temporarily, to put things in order. Every successful person has to prepare for, and prioritize the most important tasks to the lesser ones, to be able to knock on success’ golden door.

Preparing, and prioritizing, is simply putting things in order. There is order in Math; one comes before two. There is order in the universe; dawn breaks before night falls.   And there has to be order in your life and business. A plan and getting focused comes before success.

“If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.”

If planning is not one of your strong points…start with the creative side of your goal.  Focus on the fun part of it to get the creative juices flowing.

  • What does it look like?

  • What does it smell like?

  • What does it feel like?

  • What do you hear?

Get all of your senses working and map it out in your mind. Envision it clearly down to the last detail. Find pictures that you love that drives your goal forward. See the end first and then plan your way backwards.  Then make your plan, prioritize your tasks, and get back on the track to finish your race.

Don’t look back or to the right or left….

Run… the race is waiting for you!

Getting focused means looking ahead and putting those blinders on…

Don’t stop to compare yourself with others…

Just Run!

Don’t get overwhelmed with analysis paralysis…

Just Run!

Don’t listen to the “nay” sayers…

Run your race like a thousand

thundering hoofs on a race track!

Don’t look back…

Put your blinders on and Run!

It’s your choice and your chance to run across the finish line and win!

Getting Focused is the only way to run this race successfully…
