Building a Dream While Leaving a Legacy

Building a Dream While  Leaving a Legacy

Why am I talking today about building a dream while leaving a legacy?   We were given a challenge on our team call to take our NMVT Associate Business and Life Plan and tell how beneficial it has been for us.

I first encountered this business plan several months ago as it was being presented on one of our performance coaching calls.  Jason Spurlock, Founder, and Ceo of Network Marketing VT, was trying to show us how to dig deep to find our reasons for wanting to do our online business, and how to sustain it.  After a laborious attempt at tackling this project, I found that I was able to see areas of my business that needed work, and areas that I hadn’t even thought about.

Sometimes, we just can’t see those things that are not in the realm of our thinking until others point it out.  I had always believed that I was a detail person until I encountered this task, and discovered that I was no where close to being as detailed as I needed to be.

You go from finding your “why” to are you a “pain avoider” or “pleasure seeker,” to what kind of “legacy” are you leaving for others.

That’s where I got the title for this post, building a dream, while leaving a legacy.  We have to know where it’s going to end up.  That’s another point that Jason Spurlock makes in this plan…. start with the end in mind and work your way backwards.  Now that was a completely new concept for me.

From my why :  Why am I doing this? (our grandchildren)

To leaving a legacy: (for our grandchildren)

We want to teach our granchildren to give to others, help those in need, learn how to live an abundant life, and be the best person you can be, while being thankful for the one life God has given us.

My detail part of the plan is to have a piece of land where our children, and grandchildren can come to, or live on. We want to have a family sanctuary; a place to play, have fun, love and live the simple living life.

Time spent with family… this is the true gift God has given each of us…our families.

These are my hopes for building a dream while leaving a legacy.
